Ngo Phuong Vi was born in 1998. She begins studying piano at the age of 3, she was a student of the 1st Vocational School of the Piano Department at the Vietnam National Academy of Music under the direction of Prof. PhD. & People’s Teacher Tran Thu Ha for 9 years.

Vi is one of the only ten students who received the most honorable scholarship offering full tuition for her 4 years of study and earned her Bachelor of Piano Performance Jacobs Schools of Music, Indiana University in Professor Jean-Louis Haguenauer’s studio. She is currently a first-year masters student at the privileged Vienna University of Music and Art in the class of Professor Jan Jiracek von Arnim.

Throughout her musical journey, Vi has played in masterclasses for prestigious Piano Professors including Dang Thai Son (Oberlin Conservatory), Bernd Goetzke (Hannover Hochschule fur Musik), Jan Jiracek von Arnim (Vienna MDW), Michel Beroff (Paris Conservatory), Boris Berman (Yale University), Jerome Lowenthal (Juilliard Schools of Music), Roberto Plano (Jacobs Schools of Music, Indiana University), Arthur Greene (Michigan University), Peter Takacs (Oberlin Conservatory), Antonio-Pompa Baldi (Cleveland Institute of Music), Jose Ramon Mendez (Northwestern University).
