Khue Tran

Khue Tran, 18, is from Hanoi, Vietnam. She currently lives in the US, where she will attend Kenyon College as a Music Merit Scholar fall of 2021. Music has always been a part of her life, as she started playing a little after four. At 12, she earned her first international prize - Silver Prize at the 2015 Asia International Piano Competition in Korea (Seoul). From then, she earned prizes at the 2016 Lansum International Music Festival, Hanoi International Piano Competition, International Music Competition Best Kabalevsky Performance, and many music scholarships. At age 13, she made her debut with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) and conductor Honna Tetsuji in a concert series with her friends. From age 15, she focused more on chamber music whilst continuing to expand her solo piano repertoire and competing at the state level. In 2021, she won first in Texas for Small Ensembles with her trio.
