Nguyen Thao Nguyen, 14, lives in Hanoi, Vietnam. She began playing the piano at the age of 6 and is currently studying with artist, Master Tran Thi Tam Ngoc at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

At the age of 12, Thao Nguyen won her first international prize - the Gold Prize at the Nanyang International Music Competition (Singapore). Since then, she has won top prizes at numerous international competitions, including Platinum Prize of the WPTA Singapore International Piano Competition, 1st Prize of the Young Musician International Competition “Città di Barletta” (Italy), Gold Prize at the New Talent British International Youth Music Competition (UK), 2nd Prize at PianoTalents International Competition (Italy). Most recently, she won the 3rd Prize at the New Orleans Piano Institute Virtual International Competition (USA). As the top prize winner in many countries, she has been invited to perform at concerts for award-winners Russia, France and Singapore.
