Barron Clancy

Barron Clancy is a Boston-based violinist and composer. He studies violin with Julia Cash and studied with Susan Jarvis. He plays violin in the New England Conservatory Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and is the concertmaster of his school's orchestra.

He has been invited to the Chamber Music Accord and Greenwood Music Camp as both a violinist and a composer and performs in two chamber groups at New England Conservatory.

Barron studies composition with Rodney Lister and has participated in masterclasses with acclaimed composers including Nico Muhly, Martin Bresnick, Ralph Farris, and Missy Mazzoli. He also studied with Gabriela Lena Frank and Jessica Hunt at Chamber Music Accord.

He has had his works performed by orchestras at NEC and various chamber ensembles at NEC, Greenwood, and Chamber Music Accord.

In 2021, Barron was a finalist for the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Awards.
